The behavior consultation options offered through Misty Meowtains can help treat or manage cat behavior challenges but does not guarantee a complete fix or resolution.
A history of the behavior concern is compiled in a variety of ways, including through an intial pre-screening questionnaire, home visits when needed, and phone and video consultations.
After reviewing the situation post consult, Misty Meowtains will work to diagnose the problem, and then design a personalized treatment/behavior plan.
The treatment/behavior plan includes behavior modification techniques based on positive reinforcement, environmental management recommendations along with teaching the client how to interact with their cat in order to resolve, manage and help prevent further behavior issues in the future.
Please note that I cannot offer medical solutions or prescribe medications or supplements. Your veterinarian and behavior consultation teams should work hand in hand where appropriate to ensure the best care for your companion animal.
All consults include:
Initial 30-45 minute video call OR phone call
Follow up with plan of action - includes overall writeup with behavior modification/training plan and access to worksheets/handouts/etc.
Behavior tracking sheets for owner
Weekly check-ins
